This profession will allow you to gather resources such as ash, yew, oak and more. You can also find rare ones like soulwood and amberwood.

The first thing you need to do is get to level 20. At this time you can start to get the gathering quests. First quest you will receive from the Woodcutter trainer will be to gather 20 Ashwood. This can take you quite some time, especially if you don't know where they are located. The first thing you will want to do is to explore the resource hub regions to map out what can be found. Make sure you make waypoints! With these notes you can later find your locations back again as resources never change place.

Once you get the 20 Ashwood and go back to the trainer he will take all the wood as payment! So you will loose the hard earned resources but get the option to train the next wood, Ebon Ashwood. These come from the normal ashwood trees, but are rare byproduct. It can take hours of tree farming until you get this wood, you only need to get it 1x though to finish the quest.
