Hello

I am Trond Meier, the AI Designer for Age of Conan.

I have been working here since March last year, and before that I was a part of Anarchy Online’s ARK team where I was the director of the operations department for 1.5 years, during which I also posted some on AO’s public boards.

My work on the Conan team is mainly to create AI scripts for NPC’s. That means I set up their behavior based on their emotions, needs and abilities, all controlled by a rather advanced brain where we can make every NPC’s behavior unique! Besides that, I am also working on the NPC (scripts) part of the hiving system, scripting for the quest designers and some region scripting (scripts controlling how certain things in the world works).

My work also require close cooperation with the NPC, Quest and Item designers – and I sometimes hijack their tools to play around a little and do smaller changes needed for my scripts.. But don’t tell them that!

As the rest of the team I am very happy to be working here at Funcom, and I am certain that we are making an awesome unique game here!
