Torment was formed by several members of a Battlefield 1942 clan when they started playing World Of Warcraft in November 2004. Torment played on the Stormreaver server until The Burning Crusade Expansion pack was released, when we transferred to Illidan. The guild focussed on PvE progression, with only a few members involved with PvP. When we left WoW in September of 2007, we were tied for 4th place Horde side for furthest progression on the server.
We are now very excited about our prospects in AoC and can't wait for release! More info will be available after launch about our server and how PvP/PvE focused we'll be.
[edit] Our Philosophy
Torment is a community-oriented guild and we value friendship and trust above all. We are very competitive, but we still keep the game fun. Our gaming schedule will be 3 or 4 days a week, so we expect that everyone can commit to at least 3 days of play a week.
[edit] Age and Maturity
Recruits must be 18 or older. Most of the guild is 20+ and while we love to screw around sometimes, it's important for us to maintain a certain level of maturity.
[edit] Guild Attitude and Atmosphere
The guild atmosphere is highly important to us and we will protect it fiercely. This means no immature / greedy / disrespectful people will be allowed in. We look for character first and will go to every length to ensure that we recruit quality people. The officers reserve the right to eject anyone from the guild for violating conduct/respect rules at any given time. Do your best to get along with everyone and you will be fine. It is NEVER acceptable to tease or annoy other members.
[edit] The Torment Guild Library
The Torment Guild Library is our cheat-sheet of strategies and info from this wiki and any other useful source we find. It should be updated quite frequently after release.
