[edit] The Divine Messengers

[edit] Goals

Our goal is to establish ourselves as an economic and militaristic power early on. We want to be the first guild on our server with a guild city to boost funds then use those funds to help us in our efforts to be the first guild to fully construct a battlekeep. We will take several actions to boost our own economy such as only buy equipment and items that are made by our own members (when possible). Our other goal is to have a very social family like atmosphere. Guild events are held often in game and out of game. For example, we plan to have events for just about every holiday that will be funded by guild higher ups (Secret Santa for Christmas, rare item hunt in the guild city for Easter ect.). Raids will be held often, but will not have required attendance and we plan to attack our rival city as often as possible.

We have a lot of MMO experience under our belts and we bring our knowledge into every game we play.

[edit] History

This guild is a new group for a new game and a couple original members. Members have played:

Anarchy Online, World of Warcraft, MapleStory (lol), Planetside, RuneScape, Vanguard, Guild Wars, Phantasy Star Online, Phantasy Star Universe, FFXI, City of Villians, City of Heroes, Eve Online, Star Wars Galaxy, Ultima Online, Everquest 1 & 2, And many many more.

[edit] Guidelines and Philosophies

We have very few guidelines

  • You must be mature but have a sense of humor
  • You may be forced to handle “foul” language on vent but we would like to keep it minimal on the forums.
  • We believe in guild loyalty. That means economically as well as you have read above.
  • No restrictions on age(as long as you act mature! I shy around from accepting people under 17 but there are a few that have changed my mind), race, class, level, or alts
  • Guild rank is based upon in-game contributions/strength of character as well as contributions on the forums, on the website, fund raising, design and anything else that benefits the guild.
  • Casual, hardcore, always on, sometimes on, live in the US, live somewhere else: All players are welcome.
  • Leadership: City and Fortress Design Decisions rest with the guild master/head craftsman, and higher ups (to keep design simple and understandable). Outside the walls anything goes as long as it fits in with the other guide lines (which basically just means, don't flame). We listen to input from the ALL members.
  • NO FLAMING OTHER MEMBERS or other guilds. IF YOU HAVE A PROBLEM WITH GUILD MATES THEN WORK IT OUT OR DON'T PARTY TOGETHER. THIS IS WHAT DESTROYS GUILDS. YOU MUST TREAT EVERYONE WITH RESPECT.

[edit] Leadership

I am the leader of the guild and as the leader my role is to recruit and build an environment to bring everyone together. We are a community, not a government. Decision making is the voice of the community. We will allow for member input in decisions that do not require immediate action and as often as possible. We try to post polls on our website for all decision making.

  • Leader: DivineMessage
  • Staff: DivineMessage, SnowBank, Korr, Holyvision, Katy, InFamousViX, Hevo,.

[edit] Ranks

This information is subject to change depending on the in-game systems and as we grow. Our Ranks are set up based on the ranks of angels but mainly reflect the positions of any Guild or Clan.

  • Leader - Shares power with advisors. Resolves any problems that Advisors disagree on. Only 1 leader.
  • Archetype Leader - Help characters within their archetype with any character build questions they may have or with class specific quests etc.
  • Officer - Officers have proven themselves as one of the most dedicated members and must take on more responsibilities. They will have more say in decisions than a regular member and some limited authority.
  • Member - Regular member. Can influence decisions that are open to members.
  • Recruit - Recently recruited member. The time it takes will vary depending on how active the member is. Recruits have little say in the decision making process until they show us that they will be sticking around for a while.
