I would suggest to expand on the information provided in this page. There are many things that can be played with, especially during combat. General movement and interaction with in game surroundings don't differ from any typical MMO. However, the combat in this game is attemtping to be entirely different, which becomes a huge obstacle with respect to user interface/controls.

For example, a player that can master the use of all features introduced into the combat engine will prevail over adversaries that cannot. Managing and customizing the user interface is going to be vital to that undertaking.

Here are all the features that require some form of control (that I can think of and know of in my 11 levels of experience):

1) Movement, including forward, rearward, strafe left & right, and turn left & right. 2) Attack direction, including left, top, right and later on in levels, 2 more. 3) Focus of personal armor (left, top, right) and their combinations 4) Use of shields to actively block 5) Combos & Feats (at lvl 11, I already filled up a 9 slot hotbar). 6) Some classes may need to be able to hide/stealth. 7) Ranged melee need to be able to pan camera in and out to take advantage of the range bonus for being in 1st person

That's alot of keys to press! Also, having your attack keys (left, top, right) mapped to your hotbar at keys (1, 2, 3) the way the default has it set up, leaves you with 6 slots for combos.... You do have 5 or 6 hotbuttons, but that requires clicking with the mouse, and if you're using the mouse to control a portion of the movement (panning with the right button), it all gets muddled.

IMO, this game needs a setup where one hand controls purely movement, and one hand controls attack, defense and combos. That's tough!
